Boeing is the world's leading aerospace company, with its heritage mirroring the history of flight. It is the largest manufacturer of satellites, commercial jetliners, and military aircraft. Total company revenues for 2001 were $58 billion.

  • Vice President/General Manager, Wing Responsibility Center
    Boeing Commercial Airplane Group - 1999-2002
    Led the design, build and delivery of wings for all commercial airplane programs with total value of over $4 billion for 2001 by working cross-functionally in large corporate setting.
    • Reduced the average unit costs for all wings by 8% with all wings delivered on time by implementing continuous flow production techniques.
    • Improved inventory turns by over 11% through strategic partnerships with key suppliers.
    • Reduced injury related lost time by 22% by teaming with union leadership, improving factory environment, and increasing employee safety awareness.
    • Realigned the Wing Responsibility Center (WRC) back into Airplane Programs and Fabrication Division with no production impacts, as part of the restructuring due to declining airplane sales from September 11th attacks.
  • Director, Wing Responsibility Center - South 1997-1999
    Led factory operations of two manufacturing business units with over 1700 employees, three factory buildings with 2.5 million square feet, and annual operating budget of $500 million. Production included complex 5-axis milling machines for aluminum parts up to 110 feet long, chemical processing, and fabrication and assembly of complex carbon fiber composite structures. Increased production from less than 500 airplane wings a year to over 600 while reducing costs by over 20%.
  • Director, Finance and Business Resources - WRC 1995-1997
  • Director, Finance: Propulsion Systems Division 1994-1995
    Responsible for Finance, Human Resources, Computing, Engineering Business Management, and Operations Business Support.
    • Identified, staffed and implemented the business support functions for the newly formed Wing Responsibility Center (WRC).
    • Negotiated and established the chart of accounts and initial budget transfers that formed the financial structure of the Wing Responsibility Center from the existing finance structures of the Commercial Airplanes organizations.
    • Established the lowest overhead for any manufacturing business unit in Commercial Airplane Group.
  • Boeing Computer Services ( Information Systems Support for Boeing)
    Director, Marketing Systems Support 1989-1994
    Provided the information systems support and applications programming required for the selling, marketing, and contracting of Boeing's commercial airplanes around the world.
